Superheroes and its purpose by Martin M. Rocha
What was the purpose of the invention of the superhero? I never thought of that question until they had a special on the history channel and the reason behind it.
During the period of WW II, America joined the war in 1941 and as Americans, we supported our troops to win. According to comic book experts Captain America and Superman were the first superheroes from Marvel and DC. The distribution of the comic books among American soldiers became very popular as the fictional stories became simple and enjoyable to read. Reading about the heroes’ triumphant battles against evil gave them the motivation and courage to fight.
The colors of Superman resemble those of the American Flag. The colors and image became more prominent with Captain America and the stories displayed him fighting Nazis. There you go Comic book fans!! A simple great reason of the creation of this wonderful genre!!
Today; many of us who grew up with tales of heroism remain loyal fans and I believe by reading these awesome tales you learn the difference between good and evil.
Now we are at another golden age of the Superhero genre and it’s reaching another peak with new amazing films. I decided to put this video together of my great appreciation of the Art that I enjoy doing. The three main Avengers and its process with the fantastic music of AC/DC!! Enjoy!!
